What is a rate card?
A rate card is a one-page document that lists your services and prices. It gives potential clients a quick overview of what you offer and how much it costs - without needing to request a custom quote for every enquiry.
When should you use one?
When potential clients ask about your rates, when you're networking and want to leave something tangible, or when you want to standardise your pricing across clients.
What's included
Service categories - your services grouped into clear categories so clients can quickly find what they need.
Pricing - rates for each service, listed as hourly, daily, per-item, or package pricing. State whether GST is included.
Package options - bundled services at a set price for common requests.
What's included - brief notes on what each service covers.
Terms - standard payment terms, deposit requirements, and any conditions that apply.
Validity - date the rate card was issued and when the rates expire. Update it at least annually.
